Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist with expertise in specimen processing to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, ensuring proper labeling and handling of specimens, and processing them for laboratory testing. Responsibilities
- Draw blood samples from patients using venipuncture techniques.
- Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens.
- Process specimens for laboratory testing.
- Provide excellent patient care, particularly for pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Maintain extensive knowledge about the Order of Draw and ability to explain it clearly.
- Utilize medical terminology accurately in daily tasks.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in venipuncture.
- Experience with specimen collection and processing.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to provide patient care for both pediatric and geriatric patients.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge about the Order of Draw and ability to explain it clearly.
Work Environment
This position requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Candidates must be able to handle high patient volumes with efficiency and maintain a high standard of patient care. The role involves direct interaction with patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
