Overview:
We are currently hiring for an experienced Phlebotomist for a long term contract that will be working on first shift in Newport News, VA.
Job Description:
- Sorts, labels, and logs specimens and performs testing procedures in accordance with strict procedures. Sorts and logs specimens, centrifugation, blood separations, and culture materials.
- Performs venipuncture and skin puncture to collect specimens from patients.
- Performs testing such as separating and centrifuging specimens, adding reagents to specimens, staining slides, tissue cultures, and DNA probe assays.
- Transcribes and records test results.
- Operates sterilizing equipment to decontaminate glassware.
Qualifications:
- AS Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Team player.
- Great communication.

Additional Information:
- 1st shift, Monday-Friday.
- Potential schedule of: 7:30am - 3:30pm.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
