Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our dynamic team. This role involves traditional phlebotomy duties with a significant focus on processing, centrifuging, and splitting samples. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, data entry, and using the LabCorp Touch system. Training will be provided in the second week to ensure proper preparation. The primary focus will be on blood draws, which will constitute about 70% of the work.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws on patients of all ages, with a daily target of around 120 draws
• Process, centrifuge, and split specimens
• Enter orders and perform data entry using the LabCorp Touch system
• Call doctor offices and confirm patient information
• Clean and restock supplies
• Ship specimens
• Provide high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital setting and with geriatric patients is beneficial

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

This role is based in a busy patient service center and involves working Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm. Training will take place over two weeks, with the second week requiring a 40-hour commitment. Training locations include Wildomar, Tustin, and Los Angeles, with accommodation provided if necessary. The work environment includes standing for 50% of the time and the possibility of floating to five different locations. The Phlebotomist will work alongside another phlebotomist and must be open to working with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.11 - $23.11/hr.
