Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team at a high-volume Patient Services Center (PSC). The successful candidate will perform a minimum of 30-40 blood draws per day, document and update patient records, and take on additional tasks such as accessioning through training.
Responsibilities
- Perform 30-40 blood draws per day using both butterfly and straight needles.
- Interact hands-on with patients, providing excellent customer service.
- Document and update patient records in the internal system.
- Accessioning tasks as trained.
- Handle minor data entry tasks accurately.
Essential Skills
- Experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant in a high-volume facility.
- Proficiency with both butterfly and straight needles.
- Knowledge of different gauges and phlebotomy techniques.
- Ability to enter data accurately in different Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).
- Excellent customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Accessioning experience.
- Flexibility to work on weekends if needed.
- Phlebotomy certification is a plus.
- Minimum education: High school diploma or GED.
Work Environment
The position is based in Greenfield, MA. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with potential flexibility required. The facility operates in a fast-paced environment similar to an ER, handling over 100 patients daily. The brand new facility offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a setting akin to a hospital.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $23.00/hr.
