Job Title: Plant Engineer

Job Description

Support, identify, assess, and implement new packaging opportunities/projects through frequent interaction with our plant leadership team. Work with customers and outside material suppliers utilizing your personal expertise, continuous improvement culture, and Rapid Improvement Event (RIE) processes. Collaborate with equipment and packaging component suppliers to ensure that the technical needs of the manufacturing facilities capabilities are consistently met. Align cost-saving projects with manufacturing capabilities to achieve plant and Operational Excellence goals. Provide support and experience in Aerosol and Liquid packaging spaces, including components such as cans, caps, valves, plastic bottles, trigger sprayers, and corrugated packaging. Offer support for secondary components, including folding cartons and corrugated shippers. Author and review Packaging Engineering required protocols and reports for various engineering studies. Assist plant personnel with the specification, acceptance, and validation of all new products and packaging equipment. Support or lead R&D efforts in defining packaging materials for new products. Draft specifications and drawings for various primary and secondary components, when required. Work with Value Streams to implement world-class methods and standards across the business unit. Provide support, leadership, technical skill, and project support to all value streams, as requested. Support senior engineers and leadership for assigned project work. Adhere to handbook policy and undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Work Environment

The work environment includes frequent interaction with plant leadership teams and collaboration with customers and outside material suppliers. The role involves working in a continuous improvement culture and utilizing Rapid Improvement Event processes. The position requires adherence to handbook policy and may involve other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $52.00/hr.
