Job Title: Plumbing Designer
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Plumbing Designer to join our growing design division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential plumbing design and be proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office products. You will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining high-quality plumbing designs, training junior designers, and ensuring compliance with municipal codes.
Responsibilities
- Provide full DWV, Gas, and Isometric drawings.
- Produce Bill of Materials.
- Assist with AutoCAD Block creation and/or maintenance.
- Review incoming projects and work with the field team to improve or correct designs.
- Review and maintain knowledge of municipal codes.
- Assist in logging projects, project templates, and specification updates.
- Provide training and team building to Level 1-2 designers.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in Residential Plumbing Design.
- At least 1 year of experience as a lead, trainer, or similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP.
- Experience in AutoCAD Block creation.
- Strong skills in MS Office Web Products, including SharePoint and Excel.
- Quick and fluid thinker.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Background in Plumbing Design, HVAC, Residential Design, and Mechanical Design.
- Experience in Plumbing/Fire Protection design.
Work Environment
The position is onsite in Carrolton. The work environment includes the use of various technologies and equipment specific to plumbing design. The role offers Paid Time Off (PTO) and holiday benefits.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.
