Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

Our client, a leading food manufacturer in Indiana and the country, is seeking a Process Engineer for their Indianapolis Bakery plant. In this role, you will be responsible for process improvements and scrap reduction, owning two production lines for their pies. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build your project resume, and advance within the company.

Responsibilities

• Implement process improvements and reduce scrap on two production lines.
• Analyze data to identify areas for ingredient improvements.
• Collaborate with R&D, maintenance, and project teams to improve equipment and processes.
• Conduct time studies to reduce production time.
• Communicate progress updates to key stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
• Develop manufacturing processes that meet consumer and marketplace requirements while achieving process, quality, and cost goals.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Food, or Engineering/Technology.
• 1-3 years of experience in process/continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in data collection, time studies, data analytics, and scrap reduction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the Food & Beverage industry.

Work Environment

This role is based in a bakery environment, with a combination of floor and office work. You will supervise and have full ownership of two production lines, providing a comprehensive understanding of the company's processes and operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
