Job Description
We are seeking an expert consultant in process modeling for biological pharma manufacturing and procurement processes. This role involves developing case studies and preparing procedure manuals. The primary objective is to enhance the internal operations and delivery processes of the organization. The specialist will also be responsible for guiding changes to SOPs and process documents through the company's quality management system.
Responsibilities
- Write and author SOPs.
- Ensure content flow in documentation.
- Identify and model business processes from existing documentation.
- Identify and model procedures.
- Highlight missing information within current documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in process management.
- Identify the inputs and outputs of processes and procedures.
- Model the actors, tasks, and process flows that constitute a business process and procedure.
- Analyze the tasks involved in business processes and procedures.
- Identify the business rules applicable to tasks.
- Orchestrate business processes using use cases, work instructions, and training content as needed.
- Update procedures and manuals regularly.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in process mapping and modeling techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, study, and interpret complex data.
- Capability to manage and perform multiple complex tasks daily.
- Proficiency in Veeva.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate process changes and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work with both internal stakeholders and external SMEs to coordinate updates to process documentation.
- Experience with at least 3 operations to survey and map processes in the last 5 years.
- Experience with at least 2 use case development interventions in the last 5 years.
- Experience writing at least 1 procedure manual for the system in the last 5 years.
- Experience in commercial pharmaceutical manufacturing is required. Biopharma experience is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of microbiology, biology, and laboratory procedures.
- Experience with SOPs, CAPA, manufacturing operations, and manufacturing design.
- Familiarity with process mapping tools such as Lucidchart and SmartDraw.
- Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Work Environment
The role involves spending approximately 70% of the time working at a desk and the remaining 30% collaborating with different departments and consultants. The team currently consists of a small group of Project Managers but is rapidly growing. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
