Job Title: QA Process Quality Inspector

Job Description

The QA Process Quality Inspector will spend the majority of their day (80%) on the production floor. They will collaborate with Production Operators, Production Supervisors, and Production Leads to ensure compliance with cGMP standards. The role involves conducting investigations, implementing CAPA, and performing routine inspections.

This position will be on 2nd shift, working 2-10:30pm

Responsibilities

• Communicate shift transfer information with the 1st shift PQI.
• Discuss any corrections or necessary paperwork with the production supervisor before the shift starts at 3:00 p.m.
• Conduct walkarounds of each unit/suite to ensure compliance and provide support to production operators.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation.
• Inspect cleanliness and sign off on clean downs, which may vary in frequency.
• Review and correct documentation with supervisors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide real-time corrections and training for incidences and deviations.
• Assist with sampling, labeling, and conducting investigations.

Essential Skills

• Experience with GMP, quality assurance, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and cGMP regulations.
• 1-3 years of experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, or dietary supplement environment.
• 1-3 years of quality-related experience.
• 1-3 years of production floor experience.
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well with various departments, especially production teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences preferred.
• Experience with batch records and quality checks prior to release.
• Clean room experience and auditing/inspection experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage difficult conversations and situations involving quality issues.
• Familiarity with scales, inspections, and writing quality investigations is advantageous.
• Experience with routine inspections, raw material sampling, and applying status labels.

Work Environment

Work within a small QA team of fewer than 10 members. The role may require some overtime, but extensive overtime is not expected. The position involves working closely with production operators, supervisors, leads, and management. Employees accrue up to 17 days of PTO in their first year, increasing to 22 days per year after the first 12 months. PTO can be used immediately upon approval, and it rolls over into the next year.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $28.00/hr.
