Job Description
A Project Development Engineer with 10 to 15 years of experience is a professional who plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of project development. This includes project planning, design, budgeting, resource allocation, quality control, and risk management to ensure that projects are completed successfully and in accordance with established quality, time, and budgetary standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of strategic project plans, objectives, and scope, aligning them with the organization's goals and client requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments to evaluate project viability and potential challenges.
- Oversee the project design phase, working closely with engineers and designers to create detailed project plans, specifications, and blueprints.
- Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal project execution.
- Develop, monitor, and control project budgets, tracking expenditures and implementing cost-saving measures when necessary.
- Implement robust quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables adhere to the highest quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and proactively address potential project risks, developing risk mitigation strategies to maintain project progress.
- Ensure that projects comply with all relevant regulations, permits, and legal requirements, obtaining necessary approvals and permits.
- Maintain transparent communication with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Continuously track project progress, identify any deviations, delays, or issues, and take corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in project development and management, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
- Expertise in project management methodologies, software, and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to oversee the design phase, including creating detailed project plans and blueprints.
- Expertise in developing, monitoring, and controlling project budgets, as well as implementing cost-saving measures.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and standards to ensure project deliverables meet the highest quality specifications.
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks to maintain project progress.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
