Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team at a manufacturing facility for Tesla batteries in McCarran, NV. This role involves working on a battery line project in an office trailer with 4-5 office spaces, providing an excellent opportunity for growth and development in project management.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand project technical requirements
• Data entry for field verifications
• Technical document tracking (RFIs, SDDRs, FCDs, etc.)
• Verify compliance with basic project requirements
• Work under the direction of the lead Field Engineer

Essential Skills

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems including piping, HVAC, and plumbing
• Capable of reading and comprehending project specifications and technical drawings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
• Bachelor’s degree or technical certificate in mechanical engineering preferred but not required
• 1-2 years of professional experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering or construction management experience
• Outgoing personality, able to talk to other people, comfortable asking questions, understanding requests, and replying to the team
• Open to Sr level project engineers with the goal of becoming a Project Manager and building a team

Work Environment

The work environment includes an office trailer with 4-5 office spaces. The onsite work hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM. The company culture is team-oriented with a focus on long-term growth into larger roles, maintaining a family atmosphere in Reno, and providing opportunities beyond Reno. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $95000.00/yr.

1 week sick pay, 2 weeks vacation, holiday pay, matching 401K
