Job Title: Project Monitor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Monitor to oversee various environmental projects, including those for the NYS Department of Transportation and General Services. The role involves managing abatement work worth 3-4 million dollars, conducting environmental investigations, assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be part of an engineering firm specializing in asbestos removal through surveying, sample collection, and material definition.

Responsibilities

• Provide third-party oversight on environmental projects.
• Handle a variety of tasks including environmental investigations, assessments, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct field monitoring of abatement projects in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Perform XRF testing and data recording.
• Offer technical support and report writing.
• Conduct air monitoring and sample analysis.
• Ensure compliance monitoring.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• 1-4 years of experience in Environmental Science.
• Experience in environmental project monitoring and air monitoring.
• Air Sampling Technician certification.
• Asbestos Project Monitor certification.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Hazwoper Certification.
• DOL Certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as an Asbestos Inspector.
• Experience as an Asbestos Designer.
• Experience as an Air Monitoring Technician.

Work Environment

You will be part of 4-5 teams performing a variety of environmental tasks including air monitoring, regulatory compliance, and remediation oversight. This role requires fieldwork and offers competitive salary, great benefits package, travel reimbursement from site to site, and a great 401k plan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

Requesting an updated benefits package but I know they offer - 401K ,PTO ,1 week sick, holiday pay
