Job Summary

The individual in this role will be a vital member and part of the magnet wire testing laboratory, responsible for performing quality tests on magnet wire for quality specifications, investigation, design proposals, R&D, improvement, and performance. This position offers hands-on quality lab experience without requiring a degree. Candidates must have experience working within a quality lab role and possess lab & GMP experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality tests of magnet wire for quality specifications, investigation, design proposals, R&D, improvement, and performance.
• Conduct testing on QA and experimental runs, action requests, and sample orders.
• Assist in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, and lubricants.
• Perform inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Conduct a range of tests requiring attention to detail.
• Read, understand, and use detailed instructions; perform testing; enter data; present data; and prepare reports or charts to report test results.
• Utilize chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments.
• Assist technicians, engineers, and management in analyzing, solving, and correcting problems.
• Utilize computer programs, quality systems, and tools, and be highly involved in the quality management system.
• Follow all procedures, methods, and guidelines to ensure quality, safety, and production goals are met.
• Enter records or write up data for company reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to give and receive information while maintaining positive working relationships.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in scientific field preferred.
• 1 years of GMP experience.
• 1 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control lab tech roles.
• 1 years of experience with basic laboratory techniques.
• Ability to work a 3rd shift, 12-hour schedule.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of computers.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO/QS/TS).
• High attention to detail, organized, and above-average mechanical skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory, GMP, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Inspection, Micrometer, Calipers, Chemistry, and wet chemistry techniques like titration.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.65 - $21.65/hr.
