Job Title: QA Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Technician to perform regular inspections and verifications of manufacturing lines, equipment, and processes throughout the plant. The QA Technician will ensure that all quality standards are met and maintained by completing necessary documentation, performing instrument calibrations, and leading environmental swabbing programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspection and verification of manufacturing lines, equipment, and processes throughout the plant based on agreed upon schedule; complete documentation when complete
• Perform instrument calibrations as needed (thermometers, gauges, lab equipment, etc.)
• Sample and test raw materials, materials in process, and finished goods; identify non-conforming material (NCM) and assist with the NCM process
• Help maintain a library of retained samples to assist with material approvals and complaint investigations
• Regularly interact with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Logistics employees and supervisors to provide useful feedback on quality-related issues or concerns
• Verify that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are being met throughout the manufacturing plant
• Lead the environmental swabbing program to ensure pathogen control
• Assist in monthly internal GMP audits including documentation and corrective actions
• Investigate issues or potential issues and work through with relevant parties to perform root cause analysis for deviations and customer complaints

Essential Skills

• Laboratory experience
• Knowledge of Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance
• Familiarity with FDA, HACCP, GMP, USDA, SQF, BRC, AIB, and GFSI standards

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in the sciences
• Quality experience

Work Environment

This position is for the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00
