QA Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QA Technician to conduct general food micro testing, including generic pathogenic micro under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Supervisor. This role involves revising, editing, and creating quality documents, counting and recording micro plate counts, and processing samples from receipt through testing. The successful candidate will follow GMP/GLP guidelines and ensure all documentation and recordkeeping are thorough and timely.
Responsibilities
- Conduct general food micro testing, including generic pathogenic micro under guidance of the Quality Assurance Supervisor or as outlined in the protocol.
- Revise, edit, and create quality documents.
- Count and record micro plate counts.
- Assist in processing of samples from receipt through testing, including all associated documentation and recordkeeping.
- Ensure data entry in internal electronic systems is accurate and timely.
- Communicate promptly with the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
- Follow GMP/GLP guidelines.
Essential Skills
- Experience in food chemistry, quality assurance, QC testing, sample prep, media prep, QA testing
- Knowledge of food science and microbiology testing.
- Familiarity with food analysis testing and biologics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior QA/QC experience in food manufacturing.
Work Environment
This role involves leading a team of 10 individuals and reporting to the QA Supervisor. It is a fully onsite role with one opening on the first shift from 8:30am-5:00pm. Occasional weekend work may be required based on the volume of samples.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
