Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated QC Analytical Chemist to join our team. You will be responsible for testing raw materials before they are used in manufacturing. This position offers the opportunity to work with various testing methods, including wet chemistry, HPLC, and GC. The role involves basic testing during initial training, with the potential to move into more advanced testing and protocol drafting.
Responsibilities
- Test incoming materials (USDA and EP).
- Conduct wet chemistry testing such as pH, IR, moisture, and ID tests.
- Perform HPLC and GC work as required.
- Draft protocols and perform method validations and transfers.
- Complete side tasks to maintain a productive work environment.
Essential Skills
- B.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related life science field.
- Undergraduate research experience or summer internship experience.
- 0-3 years of chemistry experience in a GMP environment.
- Experience with HPLC, GC, and GMP quality control testing.
- Knowledge of titration, wet chemistry, and laboratory development methods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in drafting protocols and method verifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot instruments and develop new methods.
- Initiative and experience taken outside of classwork are valued.
Work Environment
You will work in a quality control laboratory within a modern facility that has expanded over the last two years. The lab features shared spaces with laptops provided for all chemists, and a variety of testing teams including Raw Materials, Finished Products, Analytical Development, Environmental Monitoring, and QC Specialists. The team structure consists of 4-5 chemists per supervisor. Full-time employees accrue PTO starting from their date of hire, with the ability to use PTO immediately upon supervisor approval. The company also offers a $2,000 bonus for employees who stay for 9 months, increasing to 22 days of PTO per year after the first 12 months, along with several holidays and a supportive policy for career advancement.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
