QC Chemist
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications.
- Perform laboratory tests using analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
- Validate existing methods and develop new analytical methods as needed.
- Document and report test results accurately and promptly.
- Investigate and troubleshoot any quality issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration and validation are up to date.
Essential Skills
- Experience in laboratory and quality control.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations.
- Proficiency with HPLC, GC, ICP, method development, and method validation.
- Experience within a FDA regulated environment (Cosmetics or Pharma).
- Previous HPLC/GC experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- 3-8 years of industry experience within a FDA regulated environment.
- Experience in method development within HPLC or GC.
- Experience mentoring or training employees.
- Working knowledge of 21 CFR Parts 210 & 211 regulations.
- Technical writing skills (SOPs, documents, reports, etc.).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $48.00/hr.
