QC Chemist

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications.
• Perform laboratory tests using analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
• Validate existing methods and develop new analytical methods as needed.
• Document and report test results accurately and promptly.
• Investigate and troubleshoot any quality issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration and validation are up to date.

Essential Skills

• Experience in laboratory and quality control.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations.
• Proficiency with HPLC, GC, ICP, method development, and method validation.
• Experience within a FDA regulated environment (Cosmetics or Pharma).
• Previous HPLC/GC experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• 3-8 years of industry experience within a FDA regulated environment.
• Experience in method development within HPLC or GC.
• Experience mentoring or training employees.
• Working knowledge of 21 CFR Parts 210 & 211 regulations.
• Technical writing skills (SOPs, documents, reports, etc.).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $48.00/hr.
