Job Title: QC Lab Analyst

Job Description

This role is ideal for someone interested in Microbiology, biology, biochemistry. It is designed to be split between lab duties and autoclave sterilization requalification. The majority of tasks will include entry-level responsibilities such as pH and conductivity testing, autoclaving, and cleaning glassware. The QA Analyst will conduct biological, chemical, and physical testing on pharmaceutical products and medical devices in a GMP lab through all stages of the manufacturing process, from incoming raw materials to finished goods, including some environmental monitoring programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biological, chemical, and physical analyses on raw materials, in-process, and final products, and samples from environmental monitoring programs.
• Use laboratory instrumentation and computer systems to collect and record data.
• Perform assays requiring precise analytical skills and an understanding of biology and chemistry principles.
• Complete all testing, including special project/protocol testing, in a timely manner.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs, FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations.
• Write exception documents.
• Participate in team efforts to impact production, increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings, and improve quality.
• Perform laboratory and manufacturing audits as required.
• Audit and update plant SOPs as needed.
• Perform equipment maintenance and calibrations as required.
• Set up test apparatus and conduct tests on production processes and products to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
• Adjust and calibrate production equipment as needed.
• Assist in the assessment and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to resolve production quality issues.
• Modify production equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined specifications.
• Correct quality issues within the production process by adjusting or replacing manufacturing equipment parts or components.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes and other control procedures.

Essential Skills

• BS/BA in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques or biological testing.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to keep detailed notes and logs.
• Proven ability to navigate computer systems, including Word and Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of cGMP is nice to have.

Work Environment

The role involves long periods of sitting or standing and repetitive motions. There will be exposure to biologics and chemicals in a controlled environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
