Job Title: Environmental Monitoring Technician

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Monitoring Technician to join our team. This role involves working in a clean room or GMP environment, conducting micro sampling, personnel sampling, and surface plating. The ideal candidate will have experience in environmental monitoring and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental monitoring in clean room or GMP environments.
• Perform micro sampling, personnel sampling, and surface plating.
• Work with the MODA database for data management.
• Undergo extensive EM training.
• Monitor equipment and analyze plates after incubation.
• Test for active air viables, passive air viables, and surface viables.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of environmental monitoring experience.
• Experience working in an aseptic or GMP environment.
• 3-4 years of experience with sampling, personnel monitoring, and surface plating.
• Basic microbiology knowledge.
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques.
• Experience with air and water samples.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field.
• Microbiology techniques.
• Gowning certification.
• Experience with cleaning, incubation, sub culturing, and working with microorganisms.
• Proficiency in plating, cell counts, and gram staining.

Work Environment

The candidate will work within a clean room aseptic environment and will be responsible for monitoring the clean room. A gowning qualification is required for this role. The shift for this position is Wednesday to Saturday, 2nd shift (3/3:30 pm to 2 am). Training will be conducted on the first shift, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm, for 4-6 weeks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
