Job Title: Environmental Monitoring Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Monitoring Technician to join our team. This position is a great opportunity to work in a rapidly growing biotechnology company within the Car-T and cell therapy industry. The role involves working in a clean room or GMP environment and performing various environmental monitoring tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental monitoring in a clean room or GMP environment.
• Conduct micro sampling, personnel sampling, and surface plating.
• Work with MODA database for data management.
• Monitor equipment and analyze/read plates after incubation.
• Test for active air viables, passive air viables, and surface viables.
• Provide extensive EM training to team members.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of environmental monitoring experience.
• Experience working in an aseptic or GMP environment.
• 3-4 years of experience with sampling, personnel monitoring, and surface plating.
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques and basic microbiology knowledge.
• Skills in air/water sampling, surface plating, cleanroom SOP, and quality control.
• Knowledge of cell culture, swabbing, microbiology, and ISO standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field.
• Proficiency in microbiology techniques including gowning certification, cleaning, incubation, sub-culturing, working with microorganisms, plating, cell counts, and gram staining.

Work Environment

This role requires working in a clean room aseptic environment, where you will be responsible for monitoring the clean room. Completion of a gowning qualification is necessary. The shift schedule is Wednesday to Saturday, 2nd shift (3:30 pm to 2 am), with initial training on the first shift from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm for 4-6 weeks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
