Job Title: QC Technician

Job Description

The Quality Control Technician performs dimensional and functional testing on products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and customer specifications. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for documenting and communicating nonconformities to supervision. All quality specifications, work instructions, as well as actions that support teamwork, safety, efficiency, and cGMP adherence are to be followed.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection and disposition of components.
• Conduct analytical testing such as Spray Pattern testing, measurements, in-process, and release testing as per the quality specifications.
• Initiate Discrepant Material Report for non-conformities.
• Participate in equipment qualification and validation.
• Initiate changes to quality documents in compliance with ISO and cGMP requirements.
• Initiate Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR).
• Responsible for the storage and maintenance of production test pieces.
• Maintain and archive quality documents.
• Assist production personnel on quality issues.
• Prepare test solutions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field
• At least one year of experience in quality control, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• ISO experience is a plus

Work Environment

GMP Manufacturing & laboratory setting located in Congers, NY. The position offers three total openings for the overnight shift from 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM. Shift details include: B Shift: Mon-Thurs nights, 12-hour workdays, 48-hour workweek; alternating to Mon-Wed nights, 12-hour workdays, 36-hour workweek. D Shift: Fri-Sun nights, 12-hour workdays, 36-hour workweek; alternating to Thurs-Sun nights, 12-hour workdays, 48-hour workweek.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00
