Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician for our floater shift (7pm - 3am). The candidate must be flexible and willing to work weekends. This role involves performing various quality control checks and tests to ensure product specifications are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform line checks including bottle cleaner, capper, sleeves on jars, detectors, code dates on products, metal detectors, weight checker, perforation on sleeves, code dates on boxes, and palletizer.
• Collect samples from the manufacturing line to perform micro testing and chemistry testing.
• Collect dressing samples every hour and a half and dip samples every hour.
• Conduct fill volume, pH, titrations, acidity, salt %, viscosity, fat %, and moisture content tests.
• Perform micro testing including coliforms, yeast & mold testing, and aerobic plate count using 3m and pour plate methods.
• Perform raw material testing of milk, vinegar, and oils.
• Calibrate testing equipment.
• Enter collected data into SAP and JDE software programs.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and swabbing for equipment cleanliness verification.
• Release products from hold status pending negative micro counts.

Essential Skills

• Experience in quality control, quality assurance, food testing, and food manufacturing.
• Ability to perform analytical testing and wet chemistry.
• Knowledge of GMP and line checks.
• Experience working in food environments (fast food or manufacturing).
• Experience in fast-paced environments.
• Bachelor's Degree in Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, etc.) or experience in quality lab testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience or internship in lab testing and QA in a food environment (1 year preferred).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to motivate themselves and others.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize job tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
