QC Chemist

Job Description

The QC Chemist will conduct chemical, physical, and performance testing to support the chemical manufacturing process. This role involves analyzing raw materials, in-process materials, and finished product samples. Responsibilities include performing data entry, generating and filing records, setting up lab equipment, performing calibrations, and recommending or initiating corrective actions for lab and product non-conformance. Testing includes colorimetry, IR, titrations (auto and manual), viscosity, turbidity, digital density, melting and freezing point, GC, LC-MS, and atomic absorption. The chemist will also support safety, quality, 5S, ISO, GMP, and housekeeping policies and procedures, and actively contribute to continuous quality, environmental, and safety improvement processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical, physical, and performance testing in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Analyze raw materials, in-process materials, and finished product samples.
• Perform data entry, generate and file records.
• Set up laboratory equipment and perform calibrations.
• Recommend and initiate corrective actions for lab and product non-conformance.
• Support and adhere to safety, quality, 5S, ISO, GMP, and housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous quality, environmental, and safety improvement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field OR Associated Science Degree with 2 years minimum QC work experience.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with Excel or SAP.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with standard lab methodology and instrumentation.
• Technical skills to achieve challenging objectives.
• Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00
