Quality Control Technician

Job Description

Quality Technicians spend almost 100% of their time on the production floor. They use computers that are standing alongside the lines to document all data and non-conformances. They are responsible for catching any products that are out of spec/non-conformance and escalating those to the QA Lead on staff. They will regularly walk the lines and start each shift by setting up the quality equipment and verifying all is working correctly. They will also conduct visual inspections of the products to ensure they have clear labels, bar codes, etc.

Responsibilities

• Always understand and demonstrate safe work practices while working.
• Monitor the statistical process control (SPC) software suite called Gainseeker.
• Monitor, measure, and document given line processes to assure conformance to product Master specifications.
• Examine and document packaging components and finished product assembly for conformance to product Master specifications.
• Program, calibrate, and assist in the setup of Hi-Speed check weighers, Videojet, and Marsh coders.
• Program and monitor the Automated Inventory Management system for identifying and tracking finished production.
• Place non-conforming product on hold for disposition by the QC Manager.
• Pull product retain samples.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a regulated environment, lab work, SOP, assembly, batch record management, GMP, quality check, and quality inspection.
• High school diploma minimum with experience or Associates in a lab-related discipline.
• Must possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, conversions) to quickly make determinations based on line.
• Strong attention to detail to catch anything out of spec.

The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $21.75
