Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to perform routine testing on fatty acids and alcohols in a laboratory setting. This role involves 70% wet chemistry lab work and 30% instrumentation. The technician will be responsible for testing and approving incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and outgoing samples, including tests such as gas chromatography, flash point, and titration.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality testing on fatty acids and alcohols.
- Conduct 70% of work in wet chemistry lab and 30% with instrumentation.
- Test and approve incoming raw materials.
- Perform testing on in-process samples.
- Conduct testing on outgoing samples using techniques such as gas chromatography, flash point, and titration.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Knowledge of wet chemistry and instrumentation.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment (academic experience is acceptable).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
Work Environment
The position is based in a lab environment with a team of four other people. The work schedule involves rotating shifts: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, and 10pm-6am. An 8-week training cycle is provided. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
