Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description
Reviews customer, industry, and internal specifications to ensure compliance with stated requirements. Provides technical support to operations, customers, suppliers, and program managers as needed. Supports and leads special process and customer audits.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality.
- Complete Quality Engineering assignments with minimal supervision.
- Assist quality engineering team members as necessary.
- Implement and manage quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards.
- Create and review first article inspection reports.
- Create and review customer control plans.
- Monitor and manage new program metrics and facilitate efforts to drive continual improvement within plant value streams or new program launches.
- Execute on customer, operations, or new program technical deliverables.
- Support on-time delivery of orders through the manufacturing process including DMR resolution, process verification activity, and FAIR/Source/Conformity activity.
- Lead and provide technical advice and counsel to cross-functional teams.
- Host or participate in customer and third-party audits as needed, along with providing technical support.
- Utilize problem-solving skills and tools such as 5 Why, 8D, A3, and Fishbone.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
- Experience in Quality Engineering, preferably within Aerospace and Defense.
- Proficiency in quality documentation, CAPA's, and FMEA's.
- Experience with Supplier Quality Management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BS or BA degree from a 4-year college or university with 1 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with NADCAP standards.
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of Corrective Action processes.
- Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Understanding of inspection methods and tools.
- Preferred experience in standard manufacturing processes, metal forming, and assembly/test in an Aerospace environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $47.00/hr.
