Job Title: Sr. Quality Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Sr. Quality Engineer to monitor performance at our automotive facility, handle customer complaints, and maintain positive customer relations. The role includes supervising customer liaisons, managing corrective actions, maintaining databases, and leading RPN reduction activities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor performance to customer assembly plants, including complaint resolution and customer scorecard performance.
- Maintain positive customer relations and respond to customer concerns.
- Supervise customer liaisons and ensure good communication and relationships among the customer, liaisons, and our client.
- Assign and approve corrective actions (Quality Bulletins, 8D's, DMN's) as appropriate.
- Maintain corrective action databases including Exteriors GCAR and Our Client, and compile and submit all required corporate or customer reports.
- Review and approve deviations, correlations, control plans, FMEAs, and Process Flow diagrams as required.
- Lead RPN reduction activities.
- Utilize AIAG 'Core Tools'.
- Fulfill Quality Engineer role for any specific programs assigned.
Essential Skills
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Competent in AIAG 'Core Tools'.
- Bachelor's degree with 4-5 years of experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
- Experience in high-volume, high-speed environments such as food and beverage is also applicable.
Work Environment
Our client is a supplier to the automotive industry located in Nashville, IL. They manufacture liftgates, door modules, exterior fascias and trim, front-end modules, aerodynamic systems, running boards, sealing, trim, and engineered glass.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
