Job Title: Aerospace Quality Engineer - Agawam, MA

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting audits in an AS9100/ISO9001 environment, performing PPAP/First Article Inspections, and implementing Root Cause Corrective Actions. This role involves tracking quality activities within various customer portals, supporting the inspection team, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits that adhere to AS9100/ISO9001 standards.
• Perform PPAP and First Article Inspections.
• Implement Root Cause Corrective Actions.
• Track quality activities within various customer portals.
• Support the inspection team with inspection, gage control, inspecting and measuring dimensions on in-process parts, and assisting with production overflow.
• Interface daily with outside services and customers.
• Maintain records and documentation accurately.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

Work Environment

You will be working in a shop floor/manufacturing environment with an extremely casual atmosphere. The team is small, with fewer than 50 employees, which allows for significant individual impact. The work hours are from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. You will report to the quality engineering liaison, who acts as the intermediary between the manager and inspectors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
