Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for driving decision-making and providing oversight of our quality systems. In this role, you will work with and influence key stakeholders to develop and maintain QA procedures, forms, and systems, following structured documentation and quality control procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing a QMS system in a manufacturing environment
- Plan and facilitate quality system needs including QC strategy, maintenance of quality records, driving quality policy, and developing standard operating procedures
- Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Work with management to identify new quality improvement opportunities
- Perform problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection
- Develop, execute, and analyze quality reporting measures
- Establish quality control procedures to ensure conformance of manufacturing to engineered drawings
- Ensure standardized procedural documentation is accurate, up to date, and utilized
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
- Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace
- Advocate for and promote a safe work environment by reporting near misses and other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE, and encouraging others to do the same
- Compile and supervise the lessons learned database and perform auditing techniques for compliance
- Maintain service departmental feedback, determine and implement solutions for issues on-site
- Ability to work well as part of a team, accept and provide feedback and instruction, as well as work independently
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with root cause and risk analysis
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of QMS
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Project Management experience
- AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience
- Air Compressor industry experience
Work Environment
This position will be working out of our facility in West Chester, OH. The site has about 40-50 employees and this role will require mainly on-site work. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a division creating exciting new technologies, with significant opportunities for growth. You will be the sole individual responsible for all quality control at this facility.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
