Job Description: Quality Engineering Technician

In this role, you will be programming and operating a CMM using PCDMIS software. You will be actively involved in inspecting, control plans, capability studies, and new product development. This hands-on role requires collaboration with the machine shop, as well as calibration and measuring with calipers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute inspection requirements of materials, parts, assemblies, or systems using engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and other documents to support the Machine Shop.
• Create fixtures and CMM programs to meet inspection requirements.
• Train production personnel to execute inspection requirements.
• Document and communicate inspection results.
• Maintain accurate and timely Production and Quality records using the ERP system.
• Assist in solving problems related to non-conforming parts or assemblies.
• Engage with Engineering and Purchasing to improve part quality or as part of a product development team.
• Utilize engineering drawings, electrical schematics, BOMs, and other documents as required.
• Recommend, requisition, and manage calibration of inspection gages.

Essential Skills

• Quality engineering experience
• CMM programming and operation
• Quality control expertise
• GD&T-basic knowledge
• 3 years of experience operating and programming a CMM from scratch and editing
• 3 years of quality tech experience
• 3 years of experience working within a manufacturing environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00
