Job Description
We are looking for a Quality inspector Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform audits in accordance with AS9100 requirements, support Quality and Operations on inspections, vendor surveys, and non-conformance reports. The role also includes programming and operating CMM as needed, performing inspections on production parts, and preparing First Article Inspection reports. You will also be responsible for incoming materials and parts inspections.
Responsibilities
- Perform audits in accordance with AS9100 requirements
- Support Quality and Operations on inspections, vendor surveys, and non-conformance reports
- Program and operate CMM as needed
- Perform inspections on production parts as directed
- Prepare First Article Inspection reports
- Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards
- Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures
- Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function
Essential Skills
- 5-7 years of experience with CMM programming and operating
- Experience with AS9100 Quality Systems
- Proficiency in PC-DMIS CMM program
- Strong knowledge of Quality Engineering principles
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis
- Ability to review and document audits
- Proficiency in blueprint reading
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Technical degree or equivalent
- Working knowledge of measurement instruments including calipers, gage blocks, and height gages
Work Environment
You will be working in a small, family-owned aerospace company. The environment is collaborative and focused on high-quality standards. You will have access to various measurement instruments and will work closely with other team members to ensure all quality standards are met.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
