Job Title: Quality Lead/CWI Inspector

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Quality Lead/CWI Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist project management in the development and implementation of the project quality plan, oversee onsite contractors, and ensure that all work is performed according to specifications and standards. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist project management with the development and implementation of the project quality plan.
• Oversee onsite contractors to ensure work is performed to specifications and standards.
• Assist with the development and documentation of site-specific procedures and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain surveillance schedules.
• Perform required surveillances to ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards.
• Review inspection and test plans and monitor adherence to applicable plans.
• Assist construction with any required preventative maintenance.
• Participate in pre-bid, pre-mobilization, and other contractor meetings to ensure adequate contractor understanding of project quality requirements.
• Assist project and construction management with managing overall project quality.

Essential Skills

• AWS Certification
• Experience in construction oversight
• Welding inspection
• 10 years of experience with quality oversight
• CWI/AWS Certification
• Familiarity with weld inspection and mapping
• Experience reviewing inspection plans

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Self-starter with proactive attitude
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to perform quality surveillances of work performed onsite
• Familiarity with hold points and witness points
• Working knowledge of AWS, ANSI, ASTM, ACI, and other standards
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards
• Ability to function in a team environment or work independently

Work Environment

This position is located onsite at GA Power Plant Scherer.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
