Job Title: Quality Specialist

Job Description

Support quality-related activities for global parts, identify customer requests, and communicate with international suppliers. Manage customer complaints and support containment, root cause, and countermeasure investigations from suppliers. Handle financial recoveries from responsible parties, manage PPAP, and support sales on logistic abnormalities. Conduct cross-functional cooperation with sales and operations to audit and determine productions in the quality area. Issue RMAs to customers, submit correct IMDS database information, and manage QPR. Act as a support and advisor for the Quality committee, and communicate with customers and suppliers to understand sorting criteria and methods. Perform other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer requests and communicate with international suppliers.
• Manage customer complaints and support containment, root cause, and countermeasure investigations.
• Recover any financial impacts from responsible parties.
• Manage PPAP and support sales on inbound/outbound logistic abnormalities.
• Conduct cross-functional cooperation with sales and operations to audit and determine productions in the quality area.
• Issue RMAs to customers as necessary.
• Submit correct IMDS database information.
• Manage QPR by obtaining deliverables by the due date and confirm sorting acceptance.
• Support and advise the Quality committee.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers to understand sorting criteria and methods.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of automotive manufacturing quality experience.
• Proficient with Quality Documentation.
• Familiarity with PPAP, SQAM, and other automotive quality standards.
• Interest in problem-solving.
• Attention to detail and organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Proficiency in quality documentation and customer service.
• Skills in root cause analysis, process improvement, and ISO 9001.

Work Environment

This role involves both office and warehouse settings. The individual will have their own cubicle desk on the manufacturing floor. The standard hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with a hybrid schedule that includes working from home on Mondays and Fridays. Proper PPE, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and a vest, is required on the warehouse floor. Some travel to suppliers throughout North America is involved.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
