What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician - Food Manufacturing position at Actalent?
Actalent is immediately hiring for a Quality Technician in a food manufacturing environment here in the Columbus / West Jefferson area. This role is in a brand new facility with all new state-of-the-art lab equipment This is an exciting long-term career opportunity looking for someone who wants to continue growing in the field! This role will be working in a climate controlled facility!
An ideal candidate will have Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience in a food manufacturing or similar environment.
This is a 1st shift 5 : 30AM-6 : 00PM on a 2-2-3 Schedule
Job Description :
- Perform quality checks on in-process products
- Inspect and sample incoming ingredients to submit for internal lab testing as required
- Verify proper set-up of production lines at start-up and shift change
- Ensure lab equipment, refrigerators, and thermometer, among others, are properly maintained and calibrated
- Adhere to safe work practices, follows necessary regulations and guidelines.
- Maintains sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
- Will be trained on and perform some basic laboratory testing such as PH, Color, Solids, Viscosity.
