Job Title: Radiology Technician

Job Description

This position is accountable for operating the x-ray rooms, portables, and other imaging equipment in a safe and proficient manner. Responsibilities include the transportation of patients, handling telephone calls for scheduling patients, answering questions related to exam reports, and assisting physicians with fluoroscopic procedures. Knowledge of x-ray equipment, anatomy, and positioning is essential for performing quality exams. The ideal candidate must be able to handle multiple demands simultaneously while maintaining a helpful attitude towards patients, their families, office personnel, physicians, and associates. Additionally, the ability to coordinate patient prepping and scanning to ensure smooth patient flow is crucial.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray rooms and portable imaging equipment proficiently.
• Transport patients and handle telephone calls for scheduling and inquiries.
• Answer questions related to exam reports.
• Assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures.
• Maintain a helpful attitude towards patients, families, office personnel, physicians, and associates.
• Coordinate patient prepping and scanning to maximize smooth patient flow.

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of x-ray equipment, anatomy, and positioning.
• X-ray and CT scan operation experience (0-2 years required).
• ARRT Registered.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire).
• Knowledge of EPIC or other EMR systems.
• Experience in scanning, imaging, patient care, and radiologic technology.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of experience preferred.
• Certification and current registration for Radiologic Technology (R.T.) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry-eligible and must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Attend a 6 lead EKG course within 6 months of hire.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54308.00 - $70595.00/yr.
