Job Description
We are hiring for a Regulatory Specialist in the Romeoville, Illinois area. This role involves calculating product nutrition and ingredient information for product labels that comply with local (US and/or Canadian regulations) and export requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain formula management/nutrition databases with ingredient and formula information.
- Create and maintain product labels and label databases for the commercialization process.
- Collaborate with Sales and R&D to create labels and approved regulatory components as part of the commercialization process for new products.
- Execute the Kosher and Halal product approval process.
- Respond to nutritional and regulatory technical inquiries for both internal and external customers.
- Maintain the ProductVision database to keep information and systems aligned with current supplier information and Adage.
- Work with R&D on Product Vision database maintenance for experimental ingredients.
- Adapt to rapidly changing priorities according to business and customer requests.
- Use excellent communication skills to represent the company to both external and internal customers professionally.
- Follow GMP, Quality, and safety practices.
- Develop product labels while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Sciences.
- 1-2 years of experience in regulatory roles within food manufacturing.
- Experience with FDA regulations.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in proofreading, data entry, and managing databases.
- Ability to meet deadlines and established goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and utilize a project management approach to work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with USDA regulations is a plus.
- Experience with Product Vision or Genesis is a plus.
- Regulatory experience is highly preferred but candidates with an R&D experience and familiarity with FDA regulations will be considered.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.87/hr.
