Job Title: Research Chemist - HPLC

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Research Chemist specializing in HPLC to join our team. The successful candidate will develop and validate analytical methods, troubleshoot problems, and communicate with clients to provide project updates. This role requires significant experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and the ability to lead and direct the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform, and complete more complex projects
• Develop and validate analytical methods
• Assist with project cost estimates
• Review analyses and documentation on completed projects
• Write technical reports
• Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technology
• Troubleshoot problems and perform investigations when necessary
• Communicate with clients to address questions and provide project updates
• Prepare bill memos
• Apply a wide variety of concepts, practices, procedures, and regulations
• Use creativity and judgment to accomplish goals
• Lead and direct the work of others
• Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in HPLC
• Detailed interpretation of spectral data
• Development of mass spectrometry-based methods
• Experience with sample preparation to perform analytical methods and solve analytical problems
• Chemical structure determination from HPLC data interpretation
• Excellent organization, multitasking, project management, and communication skills
• Teamwork ability to integrate expertise into multi-technique solutions
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including data interpretation/analysis
• Ability to generate client reports and supporting documentation
• Strong computer skills (Windows, MS Office, data acquisition software)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of extractable and leachable study performance is preferred
• BS in Chemistry or related degree 10 years of HPLC focused work experience
• MS in Chemistry or related degree 5 years of HPLC focused work experience
• PhD in Chemistry or related degree with HPLC focused experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00
