Job Title: Research Grants Manager

Job Description

This role involves a mix of pre-award and post-award responsibilities, covering budget/contract and billing/invoicing tasks. The position includes financial management, grant oversight, and administrative coordination. Responsibilities include reconciling billing in Epic, allocating charges correctly to sponsors or insurance, and reviewing clinical trial-related charges. Pre-award duties involve coordinating with research core and third-party vendors to work on budgets and contracts for new trials, reviewing initial budgets and contracts, and submitting protocol amendments. The role also includes setting up billing calendars in Encore and meeting with physicians to review grant balances and expenses, as well as processing checks and patient reimbursements.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile billing in Epic
• Allocate charges correctly to sponsors or insurance
• Review clinical trial-related charges
• Coordinate with research core and third-party vendors on budgets and contracts for new trials
• Review initial budgets and contracts
• Submit protocol amendments
• Set up billing calendars in Encore
• Meet with physicians to review grant balances and expenses
• Process checks and patient reimbursements

Essential Skills

• Clinical research
• Contracts administration
• Bachelor's degree in Science or Finance
• 3 years of experience in clinical research (ideally in grants/contracts but CRC experience is acceptable)
• Computer skills - Excel, EPIC, and similar systems
• Experience in oncology and finance

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Pre and post-award experience
• Experience in oncology

Work Environment

You will work as part of a team of six, with three members on post-award and three on pre-award. This role involves both pre-award and post-award responsibilities, and you will be assigned to specific physicians for regular collaboration, ensuring continuity. The team works closely together to cover for each other and distribute the workload as needed

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
