Job Title: Research Scientist

Job Description

We are seeking a Research Scientist to support various projects. The ideal candidate will lead R&D efforts to develop reagents for new Biomarker/IVD assays, design experiments and research studies to test hypotheses, and oversee the transfer of new reagents from R&D to Manufacturing, including relevant documentation and quality control procedures. The candidate will also collaborate with suppliers to synthesize custom reagents and characterize them using appropriate analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D efforts to develop reagents for new Biomarker/IVD assays.
• Design experiments and research studies to test hypotheses and gather data for new product development.
• Oversee the transfer of new reagents from R&D to Manufacturing, ensuring proper documentation and quality control procedures.
• Support the scale-up of reagent manufacturing.
• Collaborate with suppliers to synthesize custom reagents.
• Characterize reagents using appropriate analytical techniques.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in protein characterization techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western blot, and HPLC.
• Proficiency in purification techniques for both macromolecules and small molecules, such as chromatography.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• PhD with a minimum of 3 years of related industrial experience in IVD R&D.
• MS with a minimum of 8 years of related industrial experience in IVD R&D.

Work Environment

The work environment includes collaboration with suppliers and internal teams, use of advanced analytical techniques and equipment, and adherence to quality control procedures. The candidate will work in a laboratory setting with standard safety protocols.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $150000.00
