Job Title: RF Engineer

Job Description

The RF Engineer will provide executive-level insight to engineering support. This role involves research and development of multi-function small form factor payloads, developing and analyzing models of novel algorithmic concepts, utilizing EW signal processing algorithms, and developing systems for GPS hardening. You will also be responsible for integrating EW, Comms, and Radar missions into small form factor payloads, investigating heterogeneous sensing concepts, and designing and implementing testing of RF hardware. This role supports client requirements for RF solutions and involves hardware-in-the-loop testing, technical reviews, and debugging and validation of capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level insight to engineering support.
• Research and develop multi-function small form factor payloads for missions.
• Develop and analyze models of novel algorithmic concepts to produce distributed electronic sensing effects.
• Utilize EW signal processing algorithms for threat detection and countermeasure employment.
• Reverse engineer existing signal processing solutions.
• Develop systems to support GPS system hardening to prevent effects on blue force systems.
• Develop RF hardware and software solutions for integrating EW, Comms, and Radar missions.
• Investigate heterogeneous sensing concepts across different platforms.
• Design and implement testing of RF and other hardware in software defined radio frameworks.
• Synthesize and allocate system requirements, ensuring system architecture compliance.
• Support development and implementation of client requirements for RF solutions.
• Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing on systems impacted by PNT/GPS denial/deception.
• Support technical reviews of vendor hardware and software products.
• Develop software algorithms and models for simulation.
• Research state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms.
• Work with customers to integrate solutions into a variety of applications.
• Debug, test, and validate capabilities using unit tests and real-world scenarios.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Current DoD issued Security Clearance (Secret to start)
• BA/BS in engineering or related technical field

Work Environment

This position is located at Kirtland AFB, offering stability, full PTO, and benefits. You will be supporting a well-known contract in NM. The work hours are from 6-8 AM, with an 8-hour workday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00
