Job Description

We are seeking a talented RF Engineer to support the development of RF hardware systems through the entire lifecycle, from system requirements definition to delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and specifications, and under the guidance of staff, you will design and implement hardware designs, support assembly, integration, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and specifications.
• Design and implement hardware designs under the guidance of staff.
• Identify and select RF system components such as active and passive devices, antennas, connectors, cables, and physical enclosures.
• Conduct supporting analyses to inform and justify decisions, including RF link budgets.
• Support assembly, initial operation, and system check-out, including the definition of test procedures.
• Tasking may be related to RF systems for airborne applications, with potential assignments on other applications as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in RF systems design, development, and testing.
• Proficiency in RF link budgets and/or cascade analysis (Required)
• Experience with Cadence AWR and Python RFDesigner.
• Knowledge of small-signal gain, noise figure, linearity analysis, and cascade.
• Proficiency in using spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers (VNA), signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, sensors, and network analyzers.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Applicable knowledge of technical concepts related to RF systems and their principles of design, development, requirements verification, test planning, test execution, and data analysis.
• Experience in delivering advanced development hardware.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, often under tight deadlines.
• Experience providing information for briefings and technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMS).
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of applicable experience; a Master’s degree or equivalent experience will be considered.
• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (nice to have).
• Demonstrated experience in radar systems, electronic warfare, microwave engineering, analog and digital signal processing, embedded software development, or physics modeling and simulation (nice to have).

Work Environment

Our clients headquarters are located in Woburn, MA. Travel to MA will be required every couple of months. They offer a hybrid work environment but require the ability to commute to the office as needed. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
