Senior Biostatistician

Remote, but high preference to be located around the Boston, MA area

Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Statistician - Staff Scientist, Biostatistics Projects to serve as a statistical leader in a cross-functional development team for a specific compound or indication. You will provide statistical expertise to the development strategy, decision making, and interpretation of data generated through the clinical development program, embracing excellence and innovation among quantitative methods. This role requires close collaboration with program partners and stakeholders to deliver on-time statistical deliverables for all clinical trials and/or HA submissions. You will report to a disease area team leader within the Biostatistics and Statistical Modelling organization and carry out functional responsibilities in accordance with applicable company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead statistical aspects of clinical development for one compound or indication.
• Provide statistical expertise to the development strategy, decision making, and data interpretation.
• Collaborate closely with program partners and stakeholders to deliver statistical deliverables for clinical trials and HA submissions.
• Report to a disease area team leader within the Biostatistics and Statistical Modelling organization.
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills

• Master's or doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in Statistics or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience, which may include doctoral research in biostatistics.
• Expertise in drug development within a regulatory environment.
• Advanced knowledge of biostatistics and its application to clinical trials.
• Experience in clinical trial design and scenario-planning.
• Extensive experience in the Pharma or Biotech environment.
• Ability to plan, supervise, implement, and monitor statistical processes for multiple clinical trials.
• Expertise in Bayesian statistics.
• Proficient in statistical software such as SAS and/or R.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with program partners and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex statistical concepts in written and spoken English.
• Team-player with a focused attitude.
• Ability to work autonomously as part of a cross-disciplinary team in a dynamic, fast-growing biotech company with challenging timelines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $77.00
