Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. As a Buyer, you will be at the intersection of finance and procurement, playing a pivotal role in optimizing purchasing processes while ensuring financial efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for managing the purchase of goods and services necessary for our operations, ensuring that the company obtains the best possible value from our suppliers. This role requires strong technical knowledge, sound experience, and people-skills to effectively solve issues as they arise.
Responsibilities
- Support engineering teams with administrative tasks, documentation, and coordination to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations.
- Create, review, and issue purchase orders; monitor and manage purchase orders for timely delivery and accuracy.
- Analyze procurement data and track budgetary performance; collaborate with finance teams on budgets and forecasts.
- Research and assess suppliers, negotiate terms and pricing, and draft and review supplier contracts.
- Assess and mitigate procurement risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, operations, and other departments; provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Drive initiatives to enhance procurement processes and implement tools and technologies for efficiency.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ideally a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Buyer in an OEM organization or a similar role in procurement, finance, or supply chain.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of achieving cost savings and value creation.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and delivering value.
- Experience with ERP systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with financial analysis and budget management.
- Knowledge of engineering and automation processes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
