Job Title: Sr Formulations Chemist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr Formulations Chemist to join our team. The successful candidate will work in both sterile and non-sterile environments, designing and performing experiments to develop new formulations. This role requires maintaining all documentation in accordance with SOPs, GLP, GMP, and FDA guidance, qualifying and calibrating equipment, and coordinating with various teams to complete projects in a timely manner. Weekly communication with customers is also an essential part of this role.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform experiments to develop new formulations
• Work in both sterile and non-sterile environments
• Qualify and calibrate equipment in conformance with GLP/GMP
• Maintain all documentation in accordance with SOPs, GLP, GMP, and FDA guidance
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
• Communicate with customers on a weekly basis

Essential Skills

• Masters degree in Chemistry
• 3-5 years experience in generic pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Proficiency in chemistry and formulation
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with current and prospective customers

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Solid dosage experience, including wet and dry granulating, compressing, coating, and printing
• Experience with small molecule drugs and generic pharmaceutical products
• Data analysis skills
• Gowning experience
• Ability to work on both innovative and routine experiments
• Experience working cross-functionally with project managers and production teams

Work Environment

You will work in a clean, newly renovated space with one other formulator and an additional team of ten in the lab. The role requires comfort with both sterile and non-sterile environments, including gowning up. The work schedule includes Monday and Friday work-from-home options, with on-site requirements from Tuesday through Thursday during normal first-shift hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.13
