Actalent Services is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for a large Engineering & Architecture Firm
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of mechanical building systems for industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on designing efficient, safe, and sustainable industrial spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design process for industrial facility projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and project managers, to integrate mechanical systems into overall facility designs
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data and ensure designs are feasible and meet client requirements
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed
- Ensure all designs are optimized for energy efficiency and sustainability
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and design team members
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on industrial facility design
- Proficiency in Revit software, and other design tools
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and their application in industrial settings
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in project management and leadership
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
