Job Title: Experienced Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed (PE) Mechanical Engineer with over 12 years of experience in the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for science and technology buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and process piping design, as well as P&ID documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for commercial and institutional buildings.
• Develop plumbing and process piping designs.
• Create and maintain P&ID documentation.
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders on project requirements.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and client specifications.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 12 years of experience in HVAC system design.
• Proficient in Revit.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and process piping design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
• Carrier load design experience.
• 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering design.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid opportunity working in a small, privately held office. The team consists of one electrical engineer, and the company offers yearly bonuses ranging from 10-50% of salary, depending on title. The role provides a collaborative and supportive environment, suitable for those looking for a balance of in-office and remote work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
