Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer responsible for supporting all existing products and manufacturing processes related to all mechanical and control systems and designs used in our products, including control systems relating to Mechanical Compressor Packages. This position focuses on improving safety, quality, on-time customer delivery, and the efficiency of manufacturing operations while reducing manufacturing costs. The role will involve collaboration with suppliers to resolve quality issues, improve designs, and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Provide product and production support to operators and assemblers.
• Diagnose root causes of product or part malfunctions with the quality team.
• Ensure correct parts are used during assembly.
• Answer any questions from operators or assemblers regarding product assembly.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, test, and design teams.
• Troubleshoot failures.
• Support all new builds for existing product lines.
• Investigate cost reduction opportunities for materials, parts, and processes.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of troubleshooting product issues in a product/production support role or product development.
• Associates Degree minimum; Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering or Technologies.
• Experience with BOM maintenance and ability to mark up 2D drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, SAP, PLM, value engineering, and value analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with SAP.
• Knowledge of PLM systems.
• Understanding of electrical systems.
• Experience with value cost savings projects.

Work Environment

Work hours are flexible from 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The role involves a 60/40 split, mostly on the floor with the product and assemblers. The person will have their own cubicle upstairs with the product team. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
