What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Mold Designer and Project Manager position at Actalent?
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mold Designer and Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for reviewing solid models for proposed parts presented to us by customers, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing solid models for proposed parts presented to us by customers
- Ensuring accuracy and quality of designs
- Generating basic mold design concepts to show parting line locations, gate locations, venting etc.
- Obtaining quotes to build molds from a group of moldmakers that we use frequently
- Reviewing mold designs presented by the mold makers and holding internal design reviews with the rest of our internal engineering team
- Placing orders for molds
- Managing documentation such as mold build checklists
- FOLLOWING up and updating on mold build schedules
Requirements:
- 5 years experience in Solidworks and similar role
- LSR (liquid silicone rubber) experience
- Expert Level experience
