Description
Handles mechanical issues and leads projects for four paper machines and other plant areas. Work on improving the plant and making sure everything runs smoothly, while also focusing on safety and continuous improvement.
- Design and install mechanical and electrical systems.
- Check if designs can be made with current equipment and within budget.
- Plan new equipment or changes to existing ones.
- Provide technical info for long-term planning.
- Oversee building and improving machines and systems.
- Test and apply engineering results.
- Fix mechanical and electrical problems with maintenance.
- Lead work on piping, structural steel, and civil design.
- Implement procedures and solve system issues.
- Research and evaluate design proposals.
- Ensure designs meet specifications.
- Investigate and fix equipment failures.
- Support safety, environmental, quality, cost, and productivity goals.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of Project Engineering experience
- Must have document control experience
- Must have experience in pulp and paper
- Experience starting new manufacturing sites/lines or expansions strongly preferred

The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
