Actalent is seeking a dynamic Senior Systems Engineer to support critical systems located at JBPHH.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will serve as a subject-matter expert providing engineering and technical services to support the maintenance, integration, and enhancement of critical PACAF ISR systems at both the command and unit levels.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Analysis & Design
- Analyze and develop plans for C4I systems capabilities.
- Create system integration and implementation plans and schedules.
Evaluation & Recommendations
- Evaluate and recommend COTS/GOTS hardware and software applications.
Project Monitoring
- Monitor project status and timelines.
- Prepare milestone reports and present status updates to program managers and clients.
Technical Support
- Provide technical and administrative support for system installation, testing, administration, maintenance, and programming.
Operational Support
- Deliver operational and maintenance support, including system administration, troubleshooting, and repair of C4I systems.
Architectural Upgrades
- Support system installations and architecture upgrades.
Basic Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 10 years of experience with C4I-related systems, programs, and activities.
- Communication: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Certifications:
- CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with network protocols, Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems.
- Web & Intranet Technologies: Knowledge of the World Wide Web, Intelink, and intranet technologies and their applications.
- Information Security:
- Understanding of DoD Information Security policies (COMPUSEC, INFOSEC).
- Familiarity with Multi-Level Security and emerging Information Warfare concepts.
- Military Operations Knowledge: Awareness of military organizations, operations, and information requirements during peacetime, crisis, and conflict.
- Intelligence Systems: Experience with Air Force and Joint Intelligence Systems (e.g., GALE, PCI-3/T).
- Additional Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
- CompTIA Security
- CompTIA Linux
- VMware Certified Professional 6 – Network Virtualization, Desktop & Mobility, Cloud Management & Automation
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
